BE VERSATILE

This is my video from last semester showing the making process of my letters for this poster. The idea was to create a self promotion piece showcase various techniques and visuals. The video is a super super high speed version of about 50 hours of video. It really is meant to serve as a form of transparency for the piece...proof theres no faking, photoshopping, etc. I wanted to try to blend my various experiences like architecture modeling, printmaking, packaging and now communications design all into one cohesive piece.

This will serve as a part of a self promotion piece Ill be mailing out for potential jobs after I graduate :)

3D Printed Typeface

Three dimensional typography in a whole new light. Not simply spatial letterforms, this new 3D typeface by Freedom of Creation is a custom dimensional ribbon that can be 3D printed. Its only legible from one angle and from any other direction the piece can just function as art.

An online interface allows you to choose what word(s) you want printed in this ribbony face. The typeface is a blend of arabic and latin letterforms and is called Kashida (and also Kasheeda) I think the readability is still a bit rough, even from the correct angle, but conceptually, I love it! I'm excited to see where this goes in the future.

If you're interested in purchasing some 3D typography for yourself, the prices are assigned by letter and sizes small, medium and large allow for a varying price range.
