Today is full of awesome.

For anyone who knows me...this video is like an amazing motion version of my "Faces" project that I've been doing for years now. These faces found around New York City are not static, however, but talking and singing!!

Combine anthropomorphized newspaper bins and insane stop motion - are you kidding me - this is best thing ever!! LondonSquared - hats off to you. This is spectacular.

And to top it all off - it is yet another amazing part of the MoMA Talk to Me exhibit I have yet to see!

I Hope This Gets To You

This is too cute and so creative! Its been mentioned it might be fake, but after checking out the guy's twitter page, I am choosing to just hope its real :)

Its a video from Walter May to his girlfriend, Lex, who moved across the country for grad school. He created this in secret with his roommates, the band The Daylights, having begged all their mutual friends not to tell her about it. He wants her to find out about it organically.

I love that something going viral is so common these days. Its crazy to think she really might find out about this video just by its spreading naturally.

We No Speak Americano ft. Cleary & Harding

Really this is unlike anything I've ever seen - and its brilliant. Peter Harding and Suzanne Cleary have been making waves in the Irish Dancing world using new inspiration in their choreography from hip-hop theatre, contemporary dance and electro-pop. Sure looks a lot different than Riverdance (which they've also both done). Check out some of their other videos on their YouTube channel.

I just can't help but smile when I watch this :) Props to Daniela for sharing.

OK Go - End Love

More amazing work from OK Go and more amazing stop motion. Love this video! At the end, when all the people from the park get involved, theres some really creative ideas there. I love the mass moving at high speed with the band barely moving - so great!

3Oh!3 Double Vision

No special effects, this 3Oh!3 Double Vision music video brilliantly mimics scrolling down a website. Theres "embedded videos" throughout the site that when clicked come to life and even banner ads. Such a creative idea! Love it!

Brillant Stop Motion Videos

Always and forever my favorite music video EVER! And also one of the most spectacular stop motion videos I've ever seen. Done by Oren Lavie, the singer, along with a few others. The video is composed of 3225 still images and took only two days to shoot, but 4 weeks to plan.



Similar is style, this Amazon Kindle commercial was done by gallantandkeen. I love how the narrative is created using the shot-from-above stop motion technique.



And lastly, the other most spectacular stop motion I've ever seen. This video is actually one stop motion within another - CRAZY! The printed image storyline was shot first and then the photos were laid out to create the secondary stop motion. Brilliant

The Wilderness Downtown

If you have Google Chrome, go to the website and do it yourself, its so much better! http://thewildernessdowntown.com/

This video explores the capabilities of Chrome and does lots of things I've never seen before. Before the song starts, the site asks for your home address. During the video, Google imagery is used of the location you type in, showing both aerial views and street panoramas. Its quite impressive.

Also, you are asked to draw a postcard during the song about 3 minutes in. The lines you draw grow tree-like roots and when you connect a shape a wispy sort of grey color appears. The best part is that little birds then fly in and land on the lines you have drawn.

Later in the video, trees are seen growing in Google views (your home imagery if you do it yourself). The postcard you draw is later printed and sold/given out at concerts on seed paper, so that it can, in fact, go trees in your hometown. Pretty elegant connection of all the elements.
