Today is full of awesome.

For anyone who knows me...this video is like an amazing motion version of my "Faces" project that I've been doing for years now. These faces found around New York City are not static, however, but talking and singing!!

Combine anthropomorphized newspaper bins and insane stop motion - are you kidding me - this is best thing ever!! LondonSquared - hats off to you. This is spectacular.

And to top it all off - it is yet another amazing part of the MoMA Talk to Me exhibit I have yet to see!

Here's the follow up to my earlier post showing a sneak peek of cotton ball sheep. This is a short and quite silly stop motion I did to try to illustrate (in a very small part) a bit of Newtons First Law of Motion (as per assignment instruction) while making it mildly education just for fun :)

The idea is that falling letters are used to introduce all of the narrative elements. Using this same concept, two more videos will be forthcoming :)

Here's the photoshoot set up - highly technical as you can tell haha I didnt even have a tripod so I had to tape my camera to stack of moleskines - oy















Here's the shoot from a little further back where you can see how the cloud was actually suspended from, yes, dental floss taped to the lights. Again, highly technical right here haha. It refused to stop spinning, so I had to take each shot only when the cloud faced the right direction.















This is one of my stills for the video, before the post processing I did to add the eyes and emotions.

OK Go - End Love

More amazing work from OK Go and more amazing stop motion. Love this video! At the end, when all the people from the park get involved, theres some really creative ideas there. I love the mass moving at high speed with the band barely moving - so great!

Brillant Stop Motion Videos

Always and forever my favorite music video EVER! And also one of the most spectacular stop motion videos I've ever seen. Done by Oren Lavie, the singer, along with a few others. The video is composed of 3225 still images and took only two days to shoot, but 4 weeks to plan.



Similar is style, this Amazon Kindle commercial was done by gallantandkeen. I love how the narrative is created using the shot-from-above stop motion technique.



And lastly, the other most spectacular stop motion I've ever seen. This video is actually one stop motion within another - CRAZY! The printed image storyline was shot first and then the photos were laid out to create the secondary stop motion. Brilliant
